Delete Your Account & Data
You can permanently delete your Marabou account and personal data at any time. There are two ways to do it — both permanently remove your profile from the app.
Option 1 — Delete inside the app (fastest)
- Open Marabou and sign in.
- Tap the Profile tab (bottom right).
- Tap Account.
- Scroll down and tap Delete Account.
- Confirm. Your account and data are deleted immediately.
Option 2 — Request deletion by email
If you no longer have the app installed or cannot sign in, email us from the address on your Marabou account and we will delete it for you. Please include the email address or display name you signed up with.
We respond to every request within 30 days, and usually within a few business days.

What we may keep, and for how long
- Abuse and safety records — if your account was reported or blocked, we keep a minimal record (report reason and date) for up to 12 months to protect other members and prevent ban evasion. This is our legitimate interest in community safety.
- Purchase and tax records — subscription and in-app purchase receipts are held by Google Play or Apple, and we keep minimal transaction records for as long as tax and accounting law requires (typically 7 years). These contain no chat content or profile data.
- Backups — residual copies may remain in encrypted backups for up to 30 days before being overwritten.
Download your data first
Before deleting, you can export a copy of everything we hold: open the app, go to Profile → Account → Download my data. You will get a JSON file containing your profile, matches, messages, likes, profile views, Pulse posts and notifications.
Cancel your subscription separately
Deleting your account does not automatically cancel a VIP Plus subscription. Cancel it in Google Play → Subscriptions or Apple → Settings → Subscriptions to avoid further charges.
