Child Safety Standards
1. Marabou is an adults-only service (18+)
- Marabou is licensed and intended exclusively for adults aged 18 or older. Minors are prohibited from creating an account or using the Service.
- Every new member must enter a date of birth during sign-up. Our system calculates the age and blocks account creation for anyone under 18.
- Misrepresenting your age violates our Terms of Service and results in immediate removal.
- If we learn that an account belongs to a minor, we terminate it and delete the associated data.
2. Prohibited conduct
The following are strictly forbidden and result in permanent removal:
- Uploading, sharing, requesting, or linking to child sexual abuse material (CSAM) in any form, including drawings, animation, or computer-generated imagery.
- Sexualizing a minor in text, photographs, video, or profile content.
- Grooming, soliciting, or attempting to meet a minor for any sexual purpose.
- Sextortion, or threatening to distribute intimate imagery of a minor.
- Trafficking, advertising, or facilitating the sexual exploitation of a minor.
- Creating an account on behalf of, or impersonating, a minor.
3. How members report child safety concerns in the app
Reporting is available to every member, from every surface that displays another person's content, and takes only a few taps:
- From a profile — open the profile and tap the flag icon, then choose a reason and submit.
- From a conversation — open the chat menu (⋯) and choose Report, or Block.
- From a Pulse post — tap the ⋯ menu on the post and choose Report.
- By email — any person, member or not, may report to support@maraboudating.app.
Reports are delivered immediately to our moderation queue. Blocking is instant and does not require a report.
4. How we respond
- Prioritisation. Reports involving a suspected minor or CSAE are treated as the highest severity and reviewed ahead of all other reports.
- Action. Where a violation is confirmed, we permanently ban the account, remove the offending content, and preserve the relevant records as required by law.
- Escalation. Confirmed CSAM is reported to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) via the CyberTipline, and to regional or national authorities where applicable.
- Cooperation. We cooperate with valid legal requests from law enforcement investigating child exploitation.
5. Preventive measures
- Age gate at registration (18+), enforced in the application itself.
- Photo verification badges to help members identify authentic profiles.
- Photos received in chat arrive blurred until the recipient chooses to view them.
- Blocking, reporting, and conversation deletion available to every member at all times.
- Members may restrict who can reply to their community posts.
- Moderation tooling that lets our team review reports and remove accounts and their content permanently.
6. Compliance
Lenoir Group LLC complies with applicable child safety laws in the jurisdictions where Marabou is available, including United States reporting obligations under 18 U.S.C. § 2258A, and with the child safety policies of Google Play and the Apple App Store.
